CBC AMERICA Announces a New Location in New York
September 1, 2022, Cary, NC — CBC AMERICA LLC, a subsidiary of CBC Co. Ltd., has expanded its US operations this week by opening a branch office in New York. The Midtown Manhattan office was officially opened for business on September 1, 2022, and will provide a centralized location for CBC's partners, customers, and employees.
"We are thrilled to be back in New York," according to Takeshi Fujita, COO of CBC AMERICA and President of Broadsight Systems, "We have numerous projects and alliances in this region, and the NY location will enable us to collaborate more closely."
The New York branch office is part of an overall strategy that includes strengthening CBC AMERICA's presence and collaborations on the east coast. The new office, located on the 30th floor of 1350 Avenue of the Americas, will be vital to CBC's various divisions, including Imaging Technology, Optics, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, and Flooring.

Explosion-Proof Housing Now UL-Classified
June 29, 2022 – Broadsight Systems Inc., a leading manufacturer of custom fabrication and security products, announced today that the BEX Series Explosion-Proof Housings for Hazardous Locations (HazLocs) are now officially UL/cUL Classified. This allows the camera enclosure to be placed in hazardous environments and locations. They are also authorized to begin shipping today.
“This UL-Classification signifies these products have undergone vigorous testing to ensure they work how they’re supposed to,” said Jim Cammerata, Senior Production/Operations Manager of BSI, “The Explosion-Proof Housing is a game-changer for security equipment in Hazardous Locations (HazLoc), and the classification confirms their level of safety.”
These housings allow electrical equipment to be installed in hazardous environments containing flammable vapors, gases, or dust, including factories, chemical plants, grain mills, oil rigs, aircraft hangars, and other HazLocs.
The BEX Series provides operators a secure location to house equipment in hazardous and flammable environments. The unit minimizes any possibilities of electrical wiring and equipment becoming a source of ignition in volatile places and is ideal for petroleum refineries, chemical plants, oil tankers, offshore platforms, industrial processes, food manufacturing facilities, gas pipelines, grain storage centers, and more.
The housings are available in three (3) sizes ranging from 4-inch to 6.6-inch diameters. They are classified as an enclosure for use in Hazardous Locations (HazLoc) The units are IP66 rated, suitable for outdoor operation, and include cable entry ports and a generic-mounting platform sized to accept various cameras and lens combinations. The BEX housings can be attached to a variety of fixed mounts or a pan/tilt base.
The BEX enclosures are Made in the USA (Mebane, North Carolina) and have received UL/cUL classification (Class I, Div 1, Groups C,D and Class II, Div 1, Groups E, F, and G).
